I Built A Tool Using AI That Can Recommend You Great Movies
You can also build a product in just one day.
I can still remember the day I discovered my love for movies when I was around 4–5 years old and randomly watched The Matrix on the WB channel.
And from that day till now I have not spent a single day without consuming movies. Watching movies like I brush and bathe in the morning has been a ritual.
Similarly, that helped me to understand and develop a skill to differentiate between a good movie and a great movie.
I have also been a constant recommender to most of my friends, coz I am probably a nerd in this niche and I kinda also consider myself a good curator.
And just one day, I thought why not make a web-based tool that can recommend good movies just like I do? Based on existing movies, moods, themes, genres, etc
I have seen people asking me questions that I want to watch a movie like “Looper”,
I have also seen people searching on Google for similar movies like “Prisoners” and in the past I have also done that.
Hence on a good weekend, I sat and decided to build something that could help me and others.
